NOTE: The Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G shouldn't be mistaken for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G.
Compared to the regular Redmi Note 14 4G, the Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G (24116RACCG) features a curved display and higher-megapixel cameras. It also has better build quality, slightly bigger battery, and supports faster charging. Additionally, the Pro model offers higher RAM and storage options.
Although the Pro model has a different CPU, its processing power is the same as that of the regular Note 14. As a result, it delivers similar performance. The phone is also pre-installed with the same Android version and custom UI as the regular model. Furthermore, its curved display has the same attributes and picture quality as the flat one on the regular version. And almost all other features of the Note 14 Pro 4G remain as those of the regular Note 14 4G.
By the way, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G attracts higher price than most of other 4G phones. Truly, compared to them, the phone boasts better build quality, higher megapixel cameras, faster charging, higher RAM, and higher internal storage space. Still, those phones have the same or similar CPU as the Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G. Photo taken with them also look almost like the ones taken with the higher megapixel cameras of the Note 14 Pro. And despite that most of them have flat displays, their displays have the same picture quality as the curved one on the Redmi phone.
Design Colour And Price:
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G is available various colour options of Aurora Purple, Midnight Black, and Ocean Blue. Currently, the starting price of the phone is about 395,000 Naira.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G is available various colour options of Aurora Purple, Midnight Black, and Ocean Blue. Currently, the starting price of the phone is about 395,000 Naira.
Design: Sturdy And Premium.
Although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G has a 6.67-inch screen size as the regular Note 14, as a result of its edge to edge or curved display, its looks more sleeker than the regular model.
However, when the Note 14 Pro 4G is compared to the likes of the slightly cheaper Infinix Hot 50 Pro+; which features a similar curved display, the Redmi phone looks less appealing. Instead, the phone appears rugged and firm. Indeed, it is more solidly put together. In other words the Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G has better build quality than both of the Infinix phone and it regular version. For instance, while both of the Infinix phone and regular version are IP54 certified, the Note 14 Pro 4G is IP64 certified. Also while the displays of the two phones are protected with Corning Glass 5, the Note 14 Pro 4G display is protected with a tougher Corning Glass Victus 2. Yet, it is lighter (180g) than the 196g Note 14 4G.
But the Infinix Hot 50 Pro+ is the slimmest and lightest of the three. The Infinix phone has a 6.8mm thickness and a 162g weight. But i as i said, the Infinix phone doesn't have the premium build quality of the Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G version.
Though, the Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G would have looked more appealing like the Infinix phone, if not for its unassuming rear camera bump. The camera bump, which has a rounded corner square-shape, looks intrusive on the upper part of the 14 Pro 4G rear panel.
And there are four protruding rings inside the bump. The four rings are made up of a triple rear camera and an LED Flash.
Meanwhile, despite its curved sides, the Note 14 Pro 4G's buttons and connectivity are like those of the regular Note 14. The phone's power button and volume keys are found on its right side. And there's nothing on its left side. Because the phone's Hybrid SIM (1 nanoSIM+1 microSD card) tray is located on the bottom side. Placed alongside a USB Type-C port, a speaker, and a microphone. There's another microphone (or noise-cancelling mic) on the top side of the phone. On the top side is also a 3.5mm audio jack, an Infrared (IR Blaster) port, and second speaker. The plastic rear panel of the Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G has a soft and smooth to touch finish. Yet it doesn't gather fingerprints and smudges.
Detailed Photograph:
The triple rear camera of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G is made up of a 200MP OIS main sensor, an 8MP Ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP Macro sensor. And there's a 32MP sensor on the front of the phone.
By default, the main rear camera captures photos at 12.5MP mode. And photos are noticeably clear, sharp and detailed. Still, at full or 200MP mode, photos are more impressively detailed. But, as we expected, the highly detailed photos come at the expense of higher megabytes.
The photos also have good colour representation. Colours are true to life and vibrant. Dynamic range also look quite nice. Subject separation and background blurring effects of the portrait shots also look good.
Ad when it comes to low light shots, the Note 14 Pro 4G also stands out. Whether in regular or dedicated Night mode, photos taken at night or in low-light conditions by this phone are impressively clear and detailed.
The second or Ultra-wide camera couldn't deliver sharp and detailed photos like the main sensor. This is expected though. Still, the shots are moderately clear. The photos also retain the good colour rendition of the ones from the main sensor.
Like the ones from the Ultra-wide camera, photos from the Macro lens are also not detailed. But clarity is good. Also colour rendition remain like those of the main and Ultra-wide sensors.
Like the ones from the Ultra-wide camera, photos from the Macro lens are also not detailed. But clarity is good. Also colour rendition remain like those of the main and Ultra-wide sensors.
Turning to the front, and as expected, the higher megapixel front-facing camera of the Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G delivers noticeably detailed selfies. Dynamic range is wide and portrait selfies look good. The selfies also have good colour rendition and skin tone looks nice.
Also, apart from the fact that the selfies are more detailed than the ones from the regular Note 14 4G, they also barely have brownish tinge that affects skin tone of selfies from the regular model.
In a nutshell, it should be noted that photos taken with both of the selfie and main rear sensors of the Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G are noticeably more detailed than the ones from most of other 4G phones. Which is as a result of the Redmi phone's higher megapixel cameras.
However, when it comes to other photos attributes such as dynamic range and colour rendition, photos from the likes of the Infinix Hot 50 Pro+ and Samsung Galaxy A16 4G rival those of the Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G.
Even, while the Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G can only shoot video up to 1080p at 60fps (frame per second), the Infinix Hot 50 Pro+ can go up to 2K at 30fps. Still, unlike the Infinix phone, the Galaxy A16 4G and the regular Note 14, the Note 14 Pro 4G features OIS video stabilization
A Nice-Looking 120Hz Curved Display:
Like the flat one on the regular Note14 4G, the curved display of the Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G has a 6.67-inch screen size. It also has a 10bit AMOLED panel and feature the same 1080p resolution of 2400-by-1080 pixels (or 394ppi pixel density) as the regular model. The display also features 120Hz high refresh rate (for smoother gaming, page scrolling and swiping). And the refresh rate options are still Dynamic, 60Hz and 120Hz.
The display also has good picture quality. It is clear, vivid and has nice colour reproduction. It is also impressively bright. Even slightly brighter than the one on the regular Note 14 4G. With manual slider, the screen peak brightness of the Pro model is close to 600nit. Which makes the screen to be noticeably bright under most lighting conditions. Yet, in Auto mode, the screen peak brightness is over 1,500nit. And it's clear and viewable under direct sunlight.
You should know that the display of the Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G is also the brightest among the aforementioned 4G phones and in this segment. Which makes the Redmi phone, like its regular model, a good choice for outdoor usage. But when it comes to colour reproduction or better colour gamut, the Super-AMOLED display of the Galaxy A16 4G rivals this screen.
Meanwhile,
like the one on the regular Redmi Note 14 4G, the AMOLED curved display of
the the Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G also lacks support for and is unable to display HDR
contents. Notwithstanding, the display fully supports Widevine L1 DRM
certification. Meaning, you can watch videos in "1080p or High
Definitions" (and in improved colour reproduction) on streaming services
such as Netflix and Amazon Prime.
Decent Performance, Higher RAM & Storage Options:
Out of the box, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 4G Pro boot Xiaomi's HyperOS 1.0.2 custom UI on top of Android 14 OS. Xiaomi promises minimum of three years of major software updates (Android 15, 16, and 17) and four years of security patches for the Note 14 Pro 4G.

The phone is pre-installed with more than a couple of AI features. And these include Google Gemini and Xiaomi's AI Erase Pro. The latter erases unwanted object (or subject) in your photo as if it was never there.
The Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G is powered by the recently unveiled MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra CPU. Which is similar to the Helio G100 CPU inside the Infinix Hot 50 Pro+. It is also nearly identical to the Helio G99 Ultra found on the regular Note 14 4G. In short, the only noticeable difference between the Helio G99 and the Helio G100 (or Helio G100 Ultra) is that the latter supports higher-megapixel cameras—hence the implementation of a 200MP sensor on the Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G.
Meanwhile, the Helio G100 Ultra CPU is a 6nm octa-core processor with clock speeds of up to 2.0 GHz. And its graphics part is handled by the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.
Since the CPU processing power is no different from that of the Note 14 4G and other devices (e.g, the Infinix Hot 50 Pro+ and the Galaxy A16 4G) in the same category, the performance of the Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G is not different from that of the regular version and and those devices.
However, while the maximum amount of RAM and internal storage offer by the regular Note 14 4G and those other devices are 8GB and 256GB respectively, the Note 14 Pro 4G offers up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Yet, it supports internal storage expansion (via microSD card) like those phones.
Performance-wise, the Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G handles daily tasks effortlessly. It opens multiple apps quickly and switches between them without lag or hesitation. It also maintains consistent smoothness during high-definition video playback.
The phone also handles many less demanding games without issue. However, the graphics demanding ones have to be played either at lower frame rates or lower graphics settings, to ensure consistent smoothness.
Bigger Battery Faster Charging Speed:
While most of other devices are powered by the usual 5,000mAh batteries, the Note 14 Pro 4G packs a more bigger 5,500mAh battery. The phone also supports quicker 45W charging and comes with a complementing 45W charger in its box.
Though the regular Note 14 4G also packs the same bigger battery, but it features a lower 33W quick charging.
Despite its bigger battery, the difference between the Note 14 Pro 4G battery life and that of the cheaper Samsung Galaxy A16 4G (that features a standard battery) is not that much. Even, it seems the Samsung phone optimizes battery life slightly better. Still, the Redmi phone battery life is more better than those of most 4G phones with standard 5000mAh batteries.
By the way, with its out of the box 45W quick charger, it took about 1 hour 16 minutes to fully charge the Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G battery from zero percent.
