Infinix Note 11 Pro (X697) is the better equipped variant of the Infinix Note 11 (X663), and it's also the successor of the Infinx Note 10 Pro (X695). However, while the standard variant, i.e., Note 11, sported a more refreshing design and AMOLED display, Note 11 Pro retain the looks and IPS-LCD display of its predecessor.
Design-wise, Infinix Note 11 Pro maintain the exact looks of the earlier Note 10 Pro (and that of the Infinix Note 8). It also comes in shape and size of the two phones. In other words, Note 11 Pro features the same 6.95-inch Infinity-O display, the same aspect ratio and the same dimensions as the two earlier phones. Therefore, looking at it from the front, it's difficult to tell apart Infinix Note 11 Pro from the two earlier phones, unless you turn it over.
Firstly, unlike those of the earlier phones, the main rear camera of the latest phone has a large ring or huge circle. And the large camera sit at the upper part of the module, making the rest of the rear cameras appear smaller.
Also compared to the plain-looking back cover of the Note 10 Pro, the back cover of the Note 11 Pro sports a two-tone gradient colour.
And those things (mentioned above) are the main two things that can quickly help you in distinguishing Note 11 Pro from the earlier Note 10 Pro.
Meanwhile, besides having the same looks as the Note 10 Pro, Note 11 Pro also retain the features of the earlier phone. Nonetheless, there are few differences in their specs. For instance, the 6.95-inch display of the Note 11 Pro has an higher screen refresh rate of 120Hz, compared to the 90Hz of the earlier one.
And despite having a 16-megapixel front-facing camera and a 64-megapixel main rear camera like the earlier one, the total number of rear cameras (which was four on the earlier model) has been reduced to three on the Note 11 Pro. The earlier phone's Ultra-wide camera has also ben replaced with Telephoto camera. But the phone retain the Depth sensing camera of its predecessor.
The situation remain almost the same under the hood. Despite having an 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage like the earlier model, the latest phone's 8GB RAM can still be increased up to 11GB, through a process called MemFusion (more on that later).
Though the processing power of the Note 11 Pro also remain as that of the Note 10 Pro, yet the processor is different. While the earlier phone was fitted with the Helio G95 CPU, the latest phone is powered by the Helio G96 CPU. Still, as i said earlier, both of these CPUs have the same processing powers.
Infinix Note 11 Pro is also pre-installed with the Android 11 OS like the earlier one, however, the latest phone runs the Android OS alongside the latest version of the Infinix XOS custom UI. Furthermore, Infinix Note 11 Pro also retain the Side-mounted fingerprint reader, USB Type-C port, 5000mAh battery and 33W fast charging of its predecessor.
Price And Colours:
Infinix Note 11 Pro is available in three colours options of Mist Blue, Haze Green And Mithril Grey. The current price of the phone is around 145,500 Naira Ksh 28,999.
DESIGN: Same As The Note 10 Pro Safe For A Different Camera Module.
Just like the earlier models, Infinix Note 11 Pro is not a sizable phone, it's a big one. And to operate this phone comfortably, you need to use both of your hands every now and then.
Though, Infinix Note 11 Pro might be on the big side, yet it's a premium looking and attractive phone. The 6.95-inch Infinity-O display is pleasant to look at, both in terms of design and screen picture quality. As a result of its good contrast and vibrant picture, this huge screen is really good for media consumption and gaming.
Also as i said earlier, and despite having the same dimensions and the same Infinity-O display as the Note 10 Pro, the back of the Note 11 Pro sports a different two-tone gradient finish. It also has different-looking camera bump, and a much bigger primary back camera; which sits at the top of the module.
The latest phone's Dual Nano SIM+SD card Tray is also more attractive and shorter than that of the earlier phone, though the position of the SIM slot is still on the left side. And the positions of other ports and buttons (and their arrangements) are also similar to those on the Note 10 Pro.
Therefore, you have volume keys and power button (which also doubled as a fingerprint reader) on the right side of the phone. While the microphone, 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C port, and primary speaker are still concentrated on the bottom edge. The second speaker is embedded above the upper part of the phone's screen. Also like the earlier model, there is nothing on the top edge of the Note 11 Pro.
Same 6.95-inch Infinity-O Display, But Higher 120Hz Refresh Rate:
Except for its higher screen refresh rate (120Hz), all other attributes of the Note 11 Pro display are still like those of the Note 10 Pro. The 6.95-inch Infinity-O display is still an IPS-LCD screen, and it also features the same Full-HD+ or 1080p resolution of 2460x1080. Which means the screen also has the same pixel density or sharpness of 387ppi.
Also like that of the earlier model, and as a results of its good contrast, the screen of the latest phone also looks clear and sharp. The pictures and colours appear vibrant. Still, like the previous one, the brightness level of this screen is not that impressive, though it's good. As a result, the screen struggle to cope under direct sunlight.
NOTE: By the way, the AMOLED display of the standard Infinix Note 11 offers a more colourful and brighter picture, but the picture is not as punchy (or crisp) as that of the Note 11 Pro. It should also be noted that there is no option for 90Hz refresh rate on the Note 11 Pro display Settings, you can only toggle betwen Automatic refresh rate, standard refresh rate (60Hz) and 120Hz refresh fate. However, the 120Hz refresh rate draws more power than the 60Hz.
Same OS, Same Storage, Same RAM, Same Processing Power, But Different CPU And RAM Expansion:
Like its predecessor, Infinix Note 11 Pro is a fast phone. In fact, when it comes to multi-tasking and opening of multiple apps simultaneously, Note 11 Pro moves swiftly and smoothly. And you'll hadly notice any difference in the performance of the Note 11 Pro, compared to that of the Note 10 Pro. Because as i said earlier, both of the Helio G96 CPU (of the latest Phone) and the Helio G95 (of the earlier one) have the same processing powers. Apart from the fact that both of them are 12nm octa-core processors, both of them also have the same 6x Cortex-A55 Arm and 2x Cortex-A76 Arm.
However, the Mali-G76 MC4 GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) that came with the Helio G95 is slightly better than the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU of the Helio G96. And it's mainly because the earlier phone's Mali-G76 is more optimized for graphics demanding games and it also support higher definition (4k) video recording.
Though, Infinix Note 11 Pro also retain the 8GB of RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage of the Note 10 Pro, and runs on the same Android 11 OS (Operating System). However, Note 11 Pro comes with the latet XOS 10.0 custom UI on top of the Android OS. And one of the distinct features of the latest XOS is its pretty looking Quick-Menu or Control Centre. To display the Quick Menu, you need to swap down from the top-right corner of the screen. And if you swap down from the top-left corner (of the screen), your Notifications will be displayed.
Also as i briefly mentioned before, and like its internal storage which can be expanded via microSD card, the 8GB of RAM of the latest Note 11 Pro can also be increased up to 11GB, through a process called MemFusion.
MemFusion enables you to convert certain amount of free space (up to 3GB) out of the phone's internal storage space to RAM. Thereby making the total number of RAM (on this phone) to become 11GB. Which, in turn, will boost the performance of the phone.
Slightly Different Rear Camera:
Like on its predecessor, there is a 16-megapixel camera on the front of the Note 11 Pro and a 64-megapixel Main sensor on the back of the phone. But different from the Wide-angle sensor on the back of the earlier model, the second camera on the latest phone is fitted with a 13-megapixel Telephoto sensor with 2.0X optical Zoom (this allows you to Zoom-In and take detailed pictures of far distance objects without moving closer). Yet like the earlier model, the third camera on this phone also has a 2-megapixel Depth sensor (for taking Bokeh pictures or pictures with blurred backgrounds).
It should be noted that the Note 11 Pro doesn't have a fourth camera like its predecessor, the fourth camera spot on the phone is just for decoration. Also note that the latest phone's 13-megapixel Telephoto sensor is also capable of 30X Digital Zoom.
And whether in Portrait Mode or Standard mode, pictures from the front and rear cameras of this phone are of good qualities. The pictures are clear and sharp. The Dinamic Range (HDR) is good too, so also the Night Mode.
However, unlike those of its predecessor that are capable of shooting 4K video, both the front and back cameras of the Note 11 Pro are limited to 2K (1440p) video recording at 30 fps (frame per second). And with OIS (Image Stabilization or Steady Mode) ON, the video recording is capped at Full-HD (1080p) at 30fps.
Same 5000mAh Battery and 33W Fast Charger:
Despite having the same 5000mAh battery and the same 33W Fast Charging as the earlier model, yet compared to the earlier's phone 93 minutes, it took a little less time of about 82 minutes to fully charged Note 11 Pro battery (with the phone's out-of-the-box 33W Fast Charger) when it drops tom 1 per cent.
Meanwhile, with casual internet browsing and normal usage, The 5000mAh battery of the Note 11 Pro will last more than a day. The duration will be less than that if you're the type that like to play high graphics games or set the screen refresh rate to 120Hz.
