Infinix Hot 11 (G37) is the standard variant of the recently unveiled Infinix Hot 11 series, while Infinix Hot 11 Play is the stripped variant of the series. We also have Infinix Hot 11s and Infinix Hot 11 Pro on the list, and these are better equipped variants of the series.
But this write-up is about the Infinix Hot 11 (X689F) or G37 and Infinix Hot 11 Play (X688B).

Design-wise, both Infinix Hot 11 and Hot 11 Play sport an identical 6.82-inch HD+ drop-notched displays. Which means the fronts of the two phones look exactly like those of the earlier Infinix Hot 10T (X689C) and Infinix Hot 10 Play (X688C). But it also implies that their fronts look less sleeker than that of the Infinix Hot 10 (X682B); which sports a minute smaller 6.78-inch screen and Infinity-O display.

However, despite that both Hot 11 and Hot 11 Play share an identical drop-notched displays with the Hot 10T and Hot 10 Play, it's only the screen of the Hot 11 that supports 90Hz refresh rate like that of the Hot 10T. In other words, the screen of the Hot 11 Play retain the regular 60Hz refresh rate of the earlier Hot 10 Play.

Meanwhile, like their fronts, the backs of the Hot 11 and Hot 11 Play also look like those of their predecessors. And it's because they also have the same camera modules, and their cameras are also arranged (inside the modules) in a manner that's similar to those of the earlier phones.

But, Infinix Hot 11 packed more back cameras than the Infinix Hot 11 Play. This makes the number of sensors (including LED flash) inside the camera module of the Hot 11 to be higher than those inside the Hot 11 Play module. In details, Infinix Hot 11 is fitted with a 50-megapixel Triple-lens back camera while Hot 11 Play retains the 13-megapixel Dual back camera of its predecessor. Still, both of the latest phones maintain the 8-megapixel front-facing camera that accompanied the earlier models.

Concerning their internal features. Infinix Hot 11 is powered by the Helio G37 CPU, but Infinix Hot 11 Play is fitted with the Helio G35 CPU. Though Helio G37 is supposed to be better than the Helio G35, unfortunately, both them have almost the same processing powers. Furthermore, each of these phones features 4GB of RAMs and runs on the Android 11 OS; but with different versions of the Infinix XOS custom UI on top. Also while Hot 11 Play is available in two internal storage options of either 64GB or 128GB, Infinix Hot 11 comes in only one storage option of 128GB.

Still, like the Hot 10T and Hot 10 Play, Infinix Hot 11 and Hot 11 Play are powered by 6000mAh batteries, and they also lack support for fast charging. Both of them also retain the microUSB ports and rear-mounted fingerprint readers of their predecessors.

Price And Colour Design:
Currently, the price of the 4GB/64GB variant of the Hot 11 Play is about 82,000 naira, while that of the 4GB/128GB variant of the phone is around 88,000 naira. The phone is available in four colour options of Exploratory Blue, Haze Green, Polar Black and Sunset Gold.
On the other hand, the current price of the Infinix Hot 11 is about 105,000 naira, and it's also available in four colours but slightly different options of Turquoise Cyan, Polar Black, 7 Degree Purple and Exploratory Blue.

Infinix Hot 11 and Hot 11 Play Design:
As i stated earlier, Infinix Hot 11 and Hot 11 Play retain the looks and size of the previous Infinix Hot 10T and Hot 10 Play. Both of them also sported the same 6.82-inch drop-notch display and the same 20.5:9 aspect ratio. Their bodies and frames are also made of plastics like those of the earlier phones.
Nonetheless, out of the two latest phones, Infinix Hot 11 is the one that look less attractive. And this caused by the phone's unattractive back cover. Though the back covers of both phones have semi-glossy finish, but unlike that of the Infinix Hot 11 Play that is smooth and looks pretty, the back cover of the 11 is covered with an array of unattractive small or fine lines which are also bumpy to touch.

Meanwhile, apart from the fact that the arrangements of ports and buttons on these two phones are similar, they are also like those on their predecessors. Because you still have volume rockers and power button on the right edges of the Infinix Hot 11 and Hot 11 Play, while their 3-in-1 SIM slots (and trays) are located on their left edges.

Though the MicroUSB ports, microphones and 3.5mm audio jacks of these phones are also found on their bottom edges, but unlike that of the Infinix Hot 11, there is no speaker grille on the bottom edge of the Hot 11 Play. Which implies that the phone does not have a bottom firing speaker like the Hot 11, instead, its speaker is embedded on the top edge of its screen, right above the selfie camera, just like that of the earlier Infinix Hot 10 play.
Which also means that you should expect a slightly better sound output from the Hot 11 than the Hot 11 Play. Meanwhile, there is nothing on the bottom edge of the two phones

Infinix Hot 11 Is Fitted With A Better Rear Camera:
Also as i mentioned before, Infinix Hot 11 is equipped with a 50-megapixel triple back camera, while Hot 11 Play is fitted with a 13-megapixel dual back camera. And that each of them also features an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
Meanwhile, the other two rear cameras, on the Hot 11, are made up of a 2-megapixel Depth sensing lens (for taken pictures with Bokeh effects or blurred backgrounds) and a QVGA or AI lens (which assists the main camera in taking brighter pictures in low-light environments). On the other hand, the second and final rear camera on the Hot 11 Play is made up of a QVGA lens.

Therefore, as a result of its better sensors, the pictures taken with back cameras of the Hot 11 are clearer, and they also look more natural than the ones taken with the Hot 11 Play's. Still, and in spite of its better rear cameras, the front and back cameras of the Hot 11 are only capable of shooting 1080p videos (max) at 30fps (frame per second) and a Slow-motion videos at 120fps, just like those on the Hot 11 Play.

Infinix-Hot-11-(X689F)-vs-Infinix-Hot-11-Play-(X688B)

Same 6.82-inch HD+ Displays, But Hot 11 Supports 90Hz Refresh Rate:
Apart from the fact that both 6.82-inch displays of the Hot 11 and Hot 11 Play have an identical tear-drop notches. They also feature the same 20.5:9 aspect ratio and the same HD+ resolution of 1640x720. Which means both of the screens have the same pixel density (or sharpness) of 262ppi.

However, because the screen of the Hot 11 supports 90Hz refresh rate (unlike that of the Hot 11 Play that has the usual 60Hz refresh rate), animations and page scrolling look smoother on this phone's display. Though the 90Hz Refresh rate Mode (which is accessible in display settings) has a slight effect on battery life, but we're talking about 6000mAh here.
However, in spite of its higher refresh rate, the colours and brightness of the Hot 11 screen are exactly like those of the Hot 11 Play's.

Almost The Same Processing Power:
Though the MT6765H or Helio G37 that powered Infinix Hot 11 is a recently unveiled MediaTek processor. But this CPU has the same processing powers as the Helio G35 that's inside Hot 11 Play. Apart from the fact that both of them are 12nm Octa-core processors, each of these Octa-core CPUs also features the same 8x Cortex A53-Arm and has the same maximum clock speed of 2.3GHz. Both of these CPUs also have the same IMG PowerVR-8320 GPU (Graphics Processing Unit).

Both of them also feature 4GB of RAMs and they are also running on the Android 11 OS (Operating System). However, unlike the Hot 11 Play that's running the OS alongside Infinix XOS 7.6 custom UI, Infinix Hot 11 comes with the latest Infinix XOS 8.0 on top of the OS.
Furthermore, the internal storage of both phones (whether you have 4GB/64GB or 4GB/128GB variant of the Hot 11 Play), can also be expanded, via microSD card, up to 256GB.

Same 6000mAh Batteries:
Both Infinix Hot 11 and Hot 11 Play are fitted with 6000mAh batteries. Which means Infinix Hot 11 offers a more stronger battery that the 5200mAh powered Infinix Hot 10. On the other hand, this also shows that Hot 11 Play retain the 6000mAh battery of its predecessor, i.e., Infinix Hot 10 Play. Nonetheless, like the two earlier phones, both of the Infinix Hot 11 and Hot 11 Play do not support fast charging. As a result, and with their out of the box 10W chargers, it'll take you about three and half hours to fully charge each phone's battery when it drops to 1 percent.
