Infinix Hot 10 (X682B) is the latest model of the Hot series from the Infinix Mobility. This phone is also the successor to the Infinix Hot 9; which was released about 6 months ago. And the phone was released alongside Infinix Hot 10 Lite.
Meanwhile Infinix Hot 10 (X682B) can either be seen as an upgraded version of the Infinix Hot 9 or the stripped down variant of the Infinix Note 7.
Nonetheless, the latest phone is fitted with a bigger, 6.78-inch Infinity-O display (compared to 6.6-inch screen of the Hot 9). Infinix Hot 10 is also powered by a much powerful Helio G70 MediaTek chipset. Infinix also complemented the bigger display of the Hot 10 with a slightly stronger 5200mAh battery.
Though, Note 7 has a round shape camera bump and it's also mounted with a much higher 48MP Quad back camera and 16MP front-facing camera. The Note phone also features 4GB of RAM and a slightly bigger display of 6.95-inch.
Yet, Infinix Hot 10 shares design and the rest of the specs with the Note 7. For instance, the Infinity-O display of the Infinix Hot 10 looks exactly like that of the Note 7. The shape of the Hot 10's back cover (not camera bump) and its gradient finish also look like that of the Note phone.
The 5200mAh battery capacity of the Hot 10 is even slightly higher than the 5000mAh of the Note 7. In short, other detailed specs of the Hot 10 such as screen resolution, aspect ratio, ports etc, are also similar to those of Note 7.
Under the hood also, Infinix Hot 10 is powered by the same Helio G70 chipset and it has 64GB internal storage capacity as the Note 7. Though Hot 10 has 3GB of RAM (compared to the 4GB of Note 7).
The current price of the phone is about 78,000 Naira (Ksh. 14,200 & GHc. 750), and still available in some major phone outlets and online stores across the region.
With its 171.1x77.6x8.8mm dimension and 195g weight, Infinix Hot 10 is slightly on the big side and a little heavier too. But thanks to its taller 20.5:9 aspect ratio, Hot 10 doesn't look bigger or appear cumbersome. The aspect ratio also enables the phone to be held easily with one hand. Yet, to operate this phone comfortably, you will need assistant of your second hand, once in a while.
Infinix Hot 10 is fitted with an ample 6.78-inch Infinity-O IPS-LCD display. This also means that the Hot 10 sport a punch-hole on the top left corner of its screen, which houses its 8MP selfie lens.
And despite its bezel-less design concept, Infinix Hot 10 still has slightly thick Chin (bottom bezel) below its ample screen.
Though that of the Note phone is slightly bigger, the Infinity-O display of the Hot 10 looks exactly like that of the Note 7. The latest phone's display also features the same HD+ resolution of 1640x720, but the screen has a slightly different (or higher) pixel density of 264ppi, which is as a result of the screen's lower size.
The back of this phone is also mounted with a rectangular shape camera module (different from the round shape module of the Note 7), and the phone's Quad-camera and LED Flash are vertically arranged on both sides of the camera bump.
And because the camera bump occupies large area on the back of Infinix Hot 10, the phone's fingerprint reader seems to be closed to the bump.
Meanwhile, and except for their different fingerprint readers' positions, the arrangements of ports and buttons on the Infinix Hot 10 are exactly like those of the Note 7. Therefore, you have the Volume rockers and Power button on the right edge of the Hot 10, while the 3-in-1 SIM slot (and tray) is located on the its left edge.
And while the phone's 3.5mm audio jack, microphone, MicroUSB port and speaker are located on its bottom edge, there is nothing on its top edge.
Though, basically, Helio G70 is an Arm Cortex-A53 octa-core cpu like the Helio A25, yet Helio G70 packed an extra pair of more powerful Cortex-A75 cpu. This processor also has more faster processing speeds of up to 2.0GHz. This processor is also paired with the Mali-G52 GPU (Graphics Processing Unit); for optimum graphics performance.
Still, like the Hot 9, Infinix Hot 10 also featured DTS sound engine, for a clearer, louder and more pleasant sound output.
In spite of its powerful chipset, Infinix Hot 10 features the same amount memory and internal storage capacity as the earlier model. In other words, Infinix Hot 10 is equipped with 3GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage space. The inbuilt storage of the latest phone can also be expanded, through MicroSD card, up to 512GB.
The quad-lens camera is also made up of 16MP primary lens, 2MP Micro lens (for taking detail pictures of close-up objects), 2MP Bokeh lens (for taking pictures with blurred background. The fourth camera is fitted with a QVGA lens which help the Main camera to achieve clearer pictures in lowlight conditions.
Meanwhile, both the front and back cameras of the Hot 10 are capable of recording 1080p videos at 30fps (frame per sec).
Yet, like its predecessors, Infinix Hot 10 doesn't support fast charging. Therefore it might take you over three hours to fully charge this phone from zero per cent.
