Both Infinix Note 7 and Tecno Camon 15 are the recently introduced mid-range smartphones from the Infinix Mobility and Tecno Mobile respectively. While the Note 7 Lite is the striped-down variant of the new Infinix Note 7, Tecno Camon 15, on the other hand, is the standard variant of the recent Tecno Camon 15 phones.
However, instead of sharing looks and specs with their siblings, both Camon 15 and Note 7 Lite share specs and design with each other, despite the fact that each of them belongs to different brand companies.
For instance, both Camon 15 and Note 7 Lite have an identical design, and they also feature an identical 6.0-inch HD+ displays. The two of them also have the same 5000mAh battery capacities and they also features quad-lens back cameras. Furthermore, both phones are powered by the Helio P22 chipset, and each of them is also equipped with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage capacity.
Still, each of the phones has its own distinct features. For instance, Infinix Note 7 Lite's quad-lens back camera setup is slightly different from that of the Tecno Camon 15. Also, compared to that of the Note 7 Lite, Camon 15 has a better front facing camera. The two phones' fingerprint scanners are also located in different spots.
Meanwhile, Infinix Note 7 Lite comes in three colour options of Green, Purple, and Black. Tecno Camon 15 is also available in three, but different colour options of Fascinating Purple, Dark Jade and Shoal Gold.
The current price of the Note 7 Lite is 68,500 naira, which is almost the same with the 70,000 naira of the Tecno Camon 15.
Identical Design But Fingerprint scanners And Brandings Are Found At Different Spots:
Both Infinix Note 7 Lite and Tecno Camon 15 are identical in every way, most especially, from the front-view. In other words, both phones have the same 6.0-inch screen sizes, same 20:9 aspect ratios and they also have identical punch-holes at the top left corners of their screens.
And while the hole-punched screen of the Tecno Camon 15 called Dot-in Display, that of the Infinix Note 7 Lite is referred to as the Infinity-O Display.
Turning them over, you'll start to notice the few differences between the two phones one by one.
Though, at a glance, the back of the Camon 15 and that of the Note 7 Lite look identical as both of them feature an identical rectangular-shape back camera modules. Also, their quad-lens back cameras are arranged in a similar vertical manner (alongside their Quad-Flash) inside the camera modules.
However, while fingerprint reader is present on the back of Tecno Canon 15, it is missing on the back of the Note 7 Lite, instead, the scanner is found on the right edge of the Infinix phone, embedded in its power button, just like that of the Infinix Note 7.
Furthermore, the Tecno Mobile and Infinix brandings are also placed in a different positions on the back of the two phones. While the Infinix branding is found at the left side of the Note 7 Lite's back, Tecno branding is placed at the centre back of the Camon 15.
Dimensions, Weight and Ports:
Both Tecno Camon 15 and Infinix Note 7 Lite feature plastic frames and their backings are also made of polycarbonate materials. Both of them also have their power buttons and volume rockers placed on their left edges. Though, like i mentioned earlier, the power button of the Infinix Note 7 Lite also serves as fingerprint reader.
There is nothing on the top edges of both phones, but their 3-in-1 Hybrid SIM slots (and trays) are located on the left edges.
And as usual, both Note 7 Lite and Camon 15 are equipped with the MicroUSB ports, which are placed on their bottom edges, alongside speakers, microphones and 3.5mm audio jacks.
Meanwhile, compared to the Infinix Note 7 Lite's 185g weight, Tecno Camon 15 comes with an heavier weight of 196g. Yet, both of them have almost the same dimensions. Because Tecno Camon 15 have dimensions of 164x76.3x8.7mm; which are approximately the same as the 165x76.8x8.7mm dimensions of the Note 7 Lite.
Identical 6.6-inch HD+ Displays:
Both 6.6-inch displays of the Tecno Camon 15 and Infinix Note 7 Lite are fitted with the IPS-LCD panels. Both of them also features an identical HD+ resolution of 1600 by 720. As a result, both displays have the same pixel density of 265ppi, i.e., the same screen sharpness.
Same Processor, RAM And Storage Space:
Under the hood, both Infinix Note 7 Lite and Tecno Camon 15 pack the same processing power. Because the duo feature the same MediaTek MT6762 processor, otherwise known as Helio P22. Helio P22 is a Cortex-A57 octa-core processor that has maximum clock speed of 2.0GHz.
And due to their identical chipset, both phones also feature the same PowerVR GE8320 GPU (Graphics Processing Unit). Still, for a better sound output, Infinix Note 7 Lite features DTS audio engine.
As i mention earlier, each of the phones is fitted with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage capacity. And their internal storage capacities can be expanded, via MIcroSD, up to 128gb.
Furthermore, Infinix Note 7 Lite and Tecno Camon 15 are running on the Android 10 O.S, alongside the phones' individual custom UI. In other words, while the Android 10 on the Note 7 Lite is preloaded with the Infinix XOS 6.0, Android 10 on the Camon 15 also includes Tecno HiOS 6.0.
Almost The Same Quad-lens Back Cameras:
Apart from having quad-lens back camera like the Tecno Camon 15, Infinix Note 7 Lite rear cameras also have almost the same sensors (and megapixels) as those of the Tecno phone.
In details, while the quad-lens back camera of the Infinix Note 7 Lite comprises 48MP main lens, 2MP Macro lens, 2MP Depth sensing lens and a QVGA lens, the four back cameras of the Tecno Camon 15, on the other hand, are made up of 48MP Main lens, 5MP Ultra-Wide angle lens, 2MP Depth sensing lens and 2MP QVGA.
From the above, it shows that the difference between the phones' quad-lens back cameras lies in their second lenses. Because the second camera on the back of the Camon 15 has an Ultra-Wide angle sensor, while the one on the back of the Note 7 Lite is fitted with a Macro sensor.
Tecno Camon Has A Better Selfie Camera:
Meanwhile, the megapixels of the Camon 15's front camera are twice of those of the Infinix Note 7 Lite's.
In other words, Tecno Camon 15 is fitted with a 16MP Selfie camera, while the Note 7 Lite comes with a lower 8MP front facing camera. As a result, the front-facing camera of the Tecno Camon 15 will surely deliver clearer selfie pictures than that of the Infinix Note 7 Lite.
Although, both Note 7 Lite and Camon 15 feature Face Unlock, but none of them have notification LED, instead, they come with Screen Flash.
Both Features 5000mAh Batteries:
Each of the phones is equipped with 5000mAh battery; which enables one to play games and surf the net for a long period. And because Note 7 Lite support fast charging, it will take about 3 hours to fully charge the phone from zero percent.
However, it'll take longer than that to charge Tecno Camon 15 from 0 to 100 per cent because it doesn't support fast charging.
