The 2019 Models And Their Arrangements Are Similar Those Of The Previous Year Lineup:
Except for the new entries and latest features, the arrangements of the 2019 LG TV lineup are similar to those of the last year. Therefore, as usual, at the top of the lineup are the OLED series which now includes R9 and Z9, i.e., the world's first rollable TV and the company's first 8K OLED TV.

The OLED series are followed by the Super-UHD or NanoCell models which also include a new 75-inch 8K model. Right below the NanoCell models are the 4K UHD models; which are equipped with the IPS-LED displays. At the bottom of the lineup are the usual 1080p and 720p models, and they also features IPS-LED panels like the 4K UHD models.

Meanwhile, the 2019 Non-OLED TV models can be easily identified by the presence of letter M (following the letter K of the last year's models) among their model numbers. On the other hand, the OLED series can be identified by the presence of number 9 among their model numbers.

And here is the complete list of 2019 Samsung TV lineup

The following are the lists of the new entries and latest features that distinguish 2019 LG TV lineup from those of the 2018:

First Rollable TV:
In its 2019 TV lineups, LG unveiled the world's first rollable TV called R9. And to ensure that the TV deliver a life-like picture, LG equipped R9 with an OLED panel. Meanwhile, unlike the rest of the company's OLED TVs, R9 features flexible OLED panel; which enables the display to roll up into box (which also serves as 100-watt Dolby Atmos Speaker) when you are not using it. The R9 comes in only one screen size of 65-inch, i.e., OLED65R9.

LG First set of  8K TVs:
Also, in its 2019 TV lineup, LG introduces its first sets of 8K TVs; which are found in both OLED and NanoCell segments. And while the 8K TV from the OLED models has a gigantic screen size of 88-inch (OLED88Z9), the one from the NanoCell Series comes with 75-inch screen size and it's called SM9970. And to get the best viewing experience from the new 8K TVs, both of them are powered by the Alpha 9 Gen 2 processor. It should be noted that the SM9970 is the only one among the NanoCell series that features A9 Gen 2 chipset.

It should be emphasized that while the R9, Z9, W9, E9, C9 and SM9970 are powered by the A9 Gen 2 processor. The B9 (the OLED entry-level), SM95, SM90, SM86/85 (the NanoCell top models) and the 86-inch of the UM76 Series (of the 4K UHD LCD models) are powered by the latest A7 Gen 2 processor; which is the successor to the last year's Alpha 7 Gen 2 (found in B8).

Alpha 9 Gen 2 and Alpha 7 Gen 2:
To ensure optimum visual experience from the 4k (and 8K) HDR contents and programmes, almost all the OLED models (except B9) and SM9970 of the Nanocell models are powered by the new and advanced video and audio processing engine called Alpha 9 Gen 2 processor; the successor to the 2018 Alpha 9 processor.

With the aid of deep learning technology and accessibility to a large database of visual and audio information, Alpha 9 Gen 2 is able to recognize the picture and audio qualities of the incoming signal or contents, and automatically adjust and improve them in order to deliver what is supposed to be the best picture qualities.

Also, it can automatically adjust the screen brightness in response to the changing ambient light of your room (or living room).
To carry out these functions easily, the compatible LG TV models are equipped with various AI-settings such as AI-Pictures, AI-Sound, AI-Brightness and so on.

AI Pictures: With a AI-Pictures, A9 Gen 2 automatically analyses the picture qualities of the incoming signal (content you are watching or about to watch), optimize it, and display what it is supposed to be most accurate picture qualities.

AI Sound: like the AI picture, AI Sound automatically analyses and improve the audio qualities of a content to reproduce a more pleasant sound. For instance, select models of the LG TVs, with AI-Sound, has ability to up-mix stereo sound (two-channel audio) into 5.1 surround sound. They also have ability to adjust the audio quality to the capability of the TV speakers.

There is also AI-Brightness which makes use of the TV's built-in ambient light sensor to automatically adjust the brightness of the HDR (even SD contents) to match the ambient light of your surroundings or living room.

And because the top of the range models of the 2019 LG TV lineups are equipped with the HDMI 2.1 port. Therefore, the combination of A9 Gen 2 processor and the future-proof HDMI port guarantees fluid motions from your fast-paced games and videos (from the compatible media players and consoles) on your new LG TV.

HDMI 2.1 PORT:
The 2018 or first Generation Alpha 9 processor already support the streaming of 4K contents at HFR (High Frame Rate or up to 120fps) from the likes of Netflix and Amazon. Meanwhile, with the introduction of the HDMI 2.1 port and the improved Alpha 9 Gen 2 processor to the latest LG TVs, you can now display HFR 4K contents and play HFR 4K games from the compatible media players and consoles.

Although, all the present commercial media players or game consoles can not output 4K resolution at 120fps, except for the about-to-be-released Sony PlayStation 5 (PS5) and Microsoft XBox Series X.

Unlike the current HDMI ports that support 4K resolution, mostly, up to 60fps (or 8K resolution at lower frame rate), HDMI 2.1 port support 4K resolution up to 120fps and 8K resolution up to 60fps. The future-proof HDMI 2.1 port also support VRR and ALLM; both of them are necessary for a pleasant gaming experience. While the ALLM (automatic low-latency mode) enables the TV to automatically switch to gaming mode when it detects signal from your game console.

On the other hand, the VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) technology ensures that the refresh rate of your Game Console (or PC) and that of your LG TV remain in a perfect sync, thereby preventing tearing and stuttering during gaming.

The HDMI 2.1 port also support eARC (enhanced Audio Return Channel), eARC allows full or uncompressed transmission of full bandwith audio signals such as Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD and DTS Virtual: X, from your LG TV to the soundbar or other compatible audio devices (that also have HDMI 2.1 port).

2019 LG TVs Also Features WiSA, Airplay 2, Amazon Alexa And So On:
In addition to the built-in Google Assistance; which was also present in the last year's models, LG introduces Amazon Alexa (which is another virtual assistance) to its 2019 TV models. The latest TV models also come with support for the Apple's Airplay 2 and HomeKit. In addition to streaming of videos and programmes from the iTunes, Airplay 2 also allows you to wirelessly share media contents, on your iPhone, iPad or MacBook with your LG TV.

WiSA:
Almost all the latest LG TV models are WiSA-ready. Wireless Speaker And Audio (WiSA) is a new feature that enables you to wirelessly connect your LG TV to a compatible (WiSA enabled) speaker, and transmit or shares higher bandwidth, uncompressed 3D audio formats such as DTS: X and Dolby Atmos, with each other.

All the 2019 LG TV models also features the latest WebOS 4.5 which comes with an improved design and also includes some features. But currently, the earlier version of the WebOS can't be updated to the new version.

OLED SERIES:
Apart from the new entries i.e., 88Z9 and 65R9, the rest of the OLED models, mentioned below, and their screen sizes remain the same as those of their 2018 counterparts:

OLED W9: W9 is the LG OLED Signature, which is better known as Wallpaper (because of its ultra-thin thickness or frame). W9 is the successor to the 2018's W8 and it also comes in the same sizes of 65-inch and 77-inch. W9 also features Dolby Vision HDR, a separated 60W Dolby Atmos Soundbar, Google Virtual Assistant and LG ThinQ AI like the W8 (and most of the earlier OLED models).

Unlike its predecessor, however, W9 is equipped with the latest Alpha 9 Gen 2 processor and HDMI 2.1 ports. W9 is also WiSA-enabled and pre-installed with the latest WebOS 4.5. Meanwhile, in addition to the LG ThinQ AI and Google Assistant, W9 also comes with support for Amazon Alexa and Apple's Airplay 2.

OLED E9: E9 is the successor to the last year's E8, and it also comes in sizes of 55-inch and 65-inch. It also shares some specs with the earlier E8, and these specs are already mentioned in W9 above. Meanwhile, except for its glass design, the latest E9 also comes with all the features of the W9.
OLED C9: C9 also comes in three sizes of 55-inch, 65-inch and 77-inch like its predecessor i.e., C8. And it also brings back some features of the earlier model, some of these are already mentioned in W9 above. And concerning the new features, LG also maintain most of the features of the W9 (and E9) in the C9. Nevertheless, the company replaced the 60W speakers (of the W9 and E9) with a 40W speaker in the C9.
OLED B9: is the entry-level model of the LG's 2019 OLED TV Series. And like its predecessor i.e., B8, B9 also comes in sizes of 55-inch and 65-inch, and it also maintain some features of the earlier model. On the B9 latest specs, LG maintain most of the specs of other latest OLED TVs in this entry-level model. For instance, B9 also has HDMI 2.1 ports and comes with support for WiSA, AirPlay 2 and so on.

However, B9 doesn't have Alpha 9 Gen 2 processor like the rest of its siblings, instead, it features the new and improved Alpha 7 gen 2 processor, the upgraded version of the Alpha 7 chipset, that's found on the previous B8.

NANOCELL SERIES:
Except for the introduction of SM9970 (the new 8K model), the arrangements and models of the 2019 Nanocell series are similar to those of the 2018 models. And LG also retain some of the features, of the previous models, such as ThinQ AI, Google's Virtual Assistance and FALD (in top models) in the latest NanoCell models.

Meanwhile, except for their entry-level models, i.e., SM81/SM82; that feature Quad-Core processor, all the rest of the latest Nanocell TV series are powered by the Alpha 7 Gen 2 processor (remember that the last year's top of the range NanoCell TVs featured the first generation Alpha 7 processor).
Also, except for those entry-level models i.e., SM82/SM81, almost all the 2019 NanoCell series support Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos Sound, and they are also WiSA-ready.

Furthermore, the top of the range models of the new NanoCell series i.e., SM99, SM98, SM95 and SM90 have Direct-LED displays with FALD, HDMI 2.1 ports and 2.2Ch. 40W Speakers. But the SM86/SM85 and SM82/SM81, on the other hands, come with the edge-LED displays and Local Dimming. These models also lack HDMI 2.1 port.
Nonetheless, all of the 2019 NanoCell TVs are preloaded with the latest WebOS v4.5, and they also come with support for the Apple's AirPlay 2 and Amazon Alexa (in addition to the out-of-the-box Google Assistance).

Full HD (1080p) Series:
Like the previous models, the 2019 Full HD (1080p) models also come in sizes of 32-inch and 43-inch. And these models are divided into two categories or series, and these are 6 series and 5 series.

The 6 series models are mostly Smart TVs, therefore, some of them include features like WebOS, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, HDR, HLG, Quad-core processor. Most of them also feature 3HDMI/2USB ports and 20W speakers. The examples of Series 6 models are 43LM6360 and 32LM636B.

On the other hand, Series 5 models are mostly dumb or non-smart TVs, therefore, most of the features mentioned above are always absent in the LG TVs that belong to this category. And many of them come with 2HDMI/1USB ports. 43LM5500 and 32LM5500 are examples of Series 5 LG TV.
