Like the last year's Samsung Galaxy S10e, the recently unveiled Galaxy S10 Lite is another affordable version of the Galaxy S10. And the new phone also features the same Qualcomm SD855 CPU and 8GB/6GB of RAM, as the Galaxy S10 and S10e.

Nonetheless, Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite comes with a distinct look, just like the way Galaxy S10e features a design that's slightly different from that of the Galaxy S10.

Apart from the look, some of the features of the Galaxy S10 Lite are also different from those of the Galaxy S10 and S10e. For instance, Galaxy S10 Lite has a bigger 6.7-inch display, 4,500mah battery, 32-MP front camera and 48-MP Main back camera.

All of these, at the price of £579; which is £80 more than the current £499 price of the 128GB variant of the Galaxy S10e. Still, the phone's lower price comes with a few trade-off.

First, Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite comes in a plastic body, instead of the metal-glass design of the Galaxy S10e and other recent Galaxy phones. As a result, the latest phone doesn't support Wireless charging.

Also, instead of having Dynamic amoled display like the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10 Lite is fitted with the Super amoled display; which came with the previous Galaxy S9 (and S9 Plus). Furthermore, the ample 6.7-inch display of the phone also features FullHD+ resolution, like that of the Galaxy S10e.

Still, better than the capacitive fingerprint reader of the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10 Lite is equipped with more advanced Ultrasonic in-display fingerprinter reader, like the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus.

Design: Galaxy S10 Lite Look Like Note 10, But It Has A Flat Screen:
From the front view, Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite looks a lot like the Galaxy Note 10, especially because the budget Galaxy phone also has its punch-hole placed at the top centre of the display, but the screen is not an edge-to-edge, like that of the Galaxy Note 10, rather it's a flat one like that of the Galaxy S10e.

Apart from the flat screen, the budget phone is also more bigger than the Galaxy Note 10.
In fact, with its 6.7-inch screen and 162.5x75.6x8.1mm dimension, Galaxy S10 Lite is of the same size as the Galaxy S10 5G, but the affordable Galaxy phone is a little thicker than the more expensive Galaxy S10 5G.
Galaxy S10 Lite also appear to be a litle taller than the Galaxy S10 5G, and this is as a result of the Galaxy S10 Lite different aspect ratio of 20:9 instead of the 19:9 of the Galaxy S10 5G.
Concerning their weight, Samsung Galaxy S10 5G is a little heavier than the Galaxy S10 Lite because while the more expensive phone weigh 189g, the affordable Galaxy phone has a weight of 186g.

Flip it over, Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite features triple-lens back camera like the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus, but the latest Galaxy phone comes with a rectagular shape camera module, which somehow remind one of the square-shaped camera module of the recent Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4XL. But, all the three back cameras of the Galaxy S10 Lite are arranged in a vertical manner inside the module, and the LED flash is placed at the top right corner of the module.

Unlike it siblings, however, the 3.5mm audio jack is missing in the Galaxy S10 Lite, but, if you feel that the new phone's specs are not complete without the traditional audio port, you should go for the Galaxy Note 10 Lite: which is identical to the Galaxy S10 Lite in size, specs and design. Except that Galaxy Note 10 Lite is equipped with the 2 years old Exynos 9810 CPU.

NOTE: Samsung Mobile unveiled Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy Note 10 Lite together.

Aside the lack of the 3.5mm audio jack, other ports and keys remain the same as those of the Galaxy S10. The latest phone also comes in various colours of Prism White, Prism Blue, Prism Black and Prism Pink.

Same Processsig power As Others:
Like the rest of its siblings, Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite also features the same Qualcomm Snadragon 855, a 7nm octa-core chipset with a maximum clock speed of 2.8GHz, which also features Adreno 640 GPU.

The memory and storage configurations of the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite are also similar to those of the Galaxy S10e, because the latest phone also comes in two memory options of either 6GB or 8GB of RAM, but, whichever you choose, you're till going to get the same internal storage space of 128GB. Fortunately, the latest phone also support microSD card of up 512GB.

Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite is preload with the latest Android 10 O.S., with the latest Samsung One UI, i.e., One UI 2.0 Interface.

Bigger 6.7-inch FHD+ Super Amoled Screen:
Despite having the same screen size as the Galaxy S10 5G, Galaxy S10 Lite display is equipped with less FullHD+ resolution like that of the Galaxy S10e.

It should be noted that, as a result of their different screen aspect ratios, the FullHD+ display of the Galaxy S10 Lite is made up of 2400x1080 pixels, while that of the Galaxy S10e is made up 2280x1080 pixels.

Also, due to their different screen sizes, the FHD+ display of the Galaxy S10e has a pixel density of 438ppi, while that of the Galaxy S10 Lite has a pixel density of 394ppi.
In other words, and as expected, the low size 5.8-inch display of the Galaxy S10e is sharper than the ample 6.7-inch screen of the Galaxy S10 Lite.
Still, none of the two phones' displays is as sharp as the QHD+ displays of the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus.

Furthermore, the 6.7 screen of the Galaxy S10 Lite is equipped with the Super amoled display (that's found on the Galaxy S9), instead of Dynamic amoled display which came with all the 2019 Galaxy S series and Note phones. Dynamic amoled screen has a more vibrant colours and better contrast than the Super amoled screen, the improved screen is also HDR10+ Certified.

Same Triple-lens Back Camera But Different Megapixels:
Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite also features single-lens front camera like the Galaxy S10 and S10e, but instead of having 10MP lens like those two phones, the single front camera of the Galaxy S10 Lite is fitted with a much higher 32-MP (f/2.2) lens.

And like its Selfie camera, the triple-lens rear cameras of the Galaxy S10 Lite also packed higher megapixels lenses. Though like the rest of the recent Galaxy phones, Galaxy S10 Lite still features the same 12-MP (f/2.2) Ultra-Wide-Angle lens, which has ability to capture 120 degree Field of View (FoV).

However, instead of having variable aperture lens as the Main camera, Galaxy S10 Lite comes with 48-MP (f/2.0) Main (Wide Angle) camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilizer) which let you shoot detailed and stable videos and pictures even if your hand is shaking, Samsung says the camera also works well in low-light environments.

Again, the third camera of the Galaxy S10 Lite doesn't feature Telephoto lens like those of the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus, instead, Samsung equipped the third back camera with the 5-MP (f/2.4) Macro lens, which is useful in taking close-up pictures.

Same 4500mAh battery as the S10 5G:
Apart from having the same screen size as the Galaxy S10 5G, Galaxy S10 Lite also shares the same big battery capacity with the more expensive phone. In other words, Samsung also complements the 6.7-inch screen of the Galaxy S10 Lite with a 4,500mAh battery.

Therefore, after watching videos or playing your favorite game for some time, you'll still have more than enough power left on your Galaxy S10 Lite. Besides, the phone's Full HD+ screen will also consume lesser power, compare to the QHD+ display of the Galaxy S10 5G.
Though Galaxy S10 Lite support 15W Fast charging 2.0, unfortunately, it doesn't support Wireless Charging and PowerShare, unlike the rest of the newer Galaxy phones.
