Nokia 4.2: a budget phone with premium look.

Although, it's a budget smartphone, Nokia 4.2 has a feel and look of a premium phone.
The phone also has a strong built quality that's expected of the Nokia products. However, being a budget phone with the price of about $199, Nokia 4.2 was equipped with the usual, decent specs. Nevertheless, new phone comes with some recent and interesting features such as 19:9 aspect ratio, 5.71-inch teardrop notch display, dual back cameras, etc.
Apart from the features (mentioned) above, Nokia 4.2 also comes with a Google Assistant Button. In addition to this, the new phone's Power button is also adorned with light; to serve another purpose though.,
However, the phone has no USB Type-C and the battery life is rather unsatisfactory.
Nokia 4.2 Design
If you're in the market for a new, budget, durable smartphone with a good built quality, i'll recommend Nokia 4.2. Apart from its built quality, the new phone also comes with a feel and look of a premium phone. The front and back of the phone is made up of 2.5D glass, while the frame, in between them, is made of plastic. Despite being covered with glasses, the new phone has a light weight of 161g and a thickness of 8.4mm.
Although, both the teardrop notch (that houses the selfie camera) and the display's curved edges, may have given the phone a more aesthetic appearance, still the Chin (bottom bezel) of the Nokia 4.2 is not something to be called slim, and, it's on this slightly thick bezel that the NOKIA inscription is found.
Surprisingly, on the left edge of the Nokia 4.2 is the Google Assistant button, which used to come with the flagship phones, most especially, the Samsung Galaxy phones. Pressing this Google Assistant Button once, will bring about Google Voice Assistant, pressing and holding down the button will prompt the Virtual Assistant to be ready for your voice commands.
At the right edge of the phone, below the volume rockers, is the light-up Power button, which, apart from serving as a power button, also functions as a Notification LED. In addition to the aforementioned two functions, this Power button's light, also comes on, when you plug the phone charger into the power outlet.
Meanwhile, the dual back camera of the Nokia 4.2 are placed in the centre back of the phone, very close to the top. And the two cameras, along with the LED flash are found together in an enclosure; arranged in a vertical manner.
The new phone's rear-mounted fingerprint reader is located directly below the dual camera. Further below the fingerprint scanner, is another inscription, and it's of the Android One, this time.
For its design colours, Nokia 4.2 comes in brilliant Black and Purple Sand.
5.71-inch HD+ Display:
Expected of a budget phone, the Nokia 4.2 is fitted with a 5.71-inch HD+ IPS-LCD Display. In details, the new phone's 5.71-inch waterdrop notch display features an IPS panel with 1520x720 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio, which also means that the display has a pixel density of 295ppi.
Meanwhile, apart from the Rear-moun fingerprint reader, the phone also features Face Unlock, as another form of security enhancements, and the company said the new Nokia 4.2's Face Unlock is quite fast.
Hardware and Software:
The Nokia 4.2 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 439, Cortex A53 Octa-Core processor, with the maximum processing speed of 1.9GHz. And the new phone is preloaded with the Android One (running on the Android 9 Pie). With the Android One, the new Nokia 4.2 will have easy access to the software updates for the next few years. Furthermore, the Nokia 4.2 comes in 2 variants, the first variant is fitted with 2GB of RAM and 16GB in-built storage, while the other variant has 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage capacity. However, both variants support MicroSD Card, up to 400GB storage capacity.
Nokia 4.2 Cameras:
The Dual-back camera comprises of 13-megapixels primary or main camera and 2-megapixels depth sensing camera.
Though, it may not be like those of the flagship phones, still, the rear cameras of the new phone guarantees clear and detailed pictures. And also, you won't be disappointed by the Nokia 4.2 back cameras, when it comes to taking portrait pictures.
The phone's Al-Powered front camera has an 8-megapixels lens, which ensure a more detailed and brighter low-light Selfies.
Battery:
Despite having a few nice stuff, it seems Nokia couldn't meet up with the expectations when it comes to the 4.2 battery capacity. Because, the Nokia 4.2 is fitted with a non-removable 3000mAh battery, which is rather low, compare to what other competitors are putting inside the phones of the similar price and within the same category. Although Nokia claimed that the battery is AI regulated, that it'll last longer on a single charge.
