Inspire of that , the new phone still shares the same battery capacity with other Pouvoir models, and it also manages to offer a few up-to-date features such as 4G LTE, Face Unlock and the latest Android 9 (Go Edition).
NOTE: Except for its lack support for 4G network, Itel P33 Plus offers the same screen size, resolution, battery capacity, and specifications, at a slightly lower price.
Pouvoir 3 Air features last year's design;
Talking about its design, Pouvoir 3 Air is a replica of the last year's Pouvoir models.
In other words, unlike the latest Tecno Pouvoir 3 that has 6.2-inch notched display, the new Pouvoir 3 Air features normal 6.0-inch display which has no notch at the top of its screen. Instead, it brings back the traditional top and bottom bezels.
Also, because the phone features 18:9 aspect ratio, its body is slightly wider than that of the latest Pouvoir 3 or any other recent phones that features 19:9 aspect ratio.
Furthermore, the back of the Pouvoir 3 Air might be a little different from those of other Pouvoir models but it's still similar to that of its predecessor (Pouvoir 2 Air). Therefore, the fingerprint scanner is still found at the usual spot on the back of the phone, and the back camera position is still located at the top right side.
Price and Colours;
Meanwhile, the phone still features plastic frame and comes in Aqua Blue, Midnight Black and Champagne Gold colours.
The current price of the Air is around 38,000 Naira, and it's available in many retail outlets and online stores across the country.
6.0-inch FWVGA+ FullView Display;
Like the last year's Pouvoir models, the new phone features an ample 6.0-inch IPS-LCD Display, however, instead of having HD+ (720p) resolution or 1440x720 pixels, like the display of the previous Pouvoir 2 Air, the new Tecno Pouvoir Air's 6.0-inch screen features FWVGA+ (960x480) resolution.
And this makes the new phone's 6.0-inch screen to have a pixel density of 178ppi, which is lower than 268ppi, that comes with the displays of the previous models. This means that; compare to that of its predecessor and other Pouvoir models, the Tecno Pouvoir 3 Air display has a lower screen sharpness.
Performance and Storage;
Although Tecno Pouvoir 3 Air features Mediatek cheapest, surprisingly, the new phone offers a slightly better Cortex A53, 2.0GHz Quad-Core processor.
Being an entry-level smartphone, Tecno Pouvoir 3 Air is fitted with 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, which can be expanded, up to 128GB, through MicroSD Card.
Meanwhile, because of its decent specifications, the Pouvoir Air is preloaded with the Go Edition of the latest Android 9 Pie.
8MP Back camera and 8MP Selfie camera:
While its predecessor and other Pouvoirs models, including the latest Tecno Pouvoir 3, are fitted with the 13MP back camera, the new Pouvoir 3 Air features 8MP single lens back camera.
Also, like its back camera, the new phone features 8MP front camera.
Same 5000mAh battery:
The main advantage of the Pouvoir phones over other models (from the Tecno) is their better battery lives. Therefore, to ensure Pouvoir 3 Air live up to the reputation of the previous Pouvoirs, Tecno maintain the same 5000mAh in the new phone. So, on a single charge (and normal usage), your new Tecno Pouvoir 3 Air should last for more than a few days.
