If you're in the market for an affordable phone with trendy features and premium design, you might want to check out Tecno Spark 3 (KB7) and Infinix Hot 7 (X624). Both Spark 3 (KB7) and Hot 7 (X624) are the base variant of the recently released Infinix Hot 7 and Tecno Spark 3.
Because these phones attract lower prices, unlike their high-end variants, therefore, they feature a few basic specs such as 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage capacity and single-lens back camera. Also, both of them do not 4G (LTE).
Except for those mentioned ones, Infinix Hot 7 (X624) and Tecno Spark 3 (KB7) share design and other features with their high-end variants.
In other words, both phones come with the latest and premium looks with trendy features such as bigger displays with screen-notches, 19:9 screen aspect ratio, high-megapixels back camera that guarantees clear and detailed pictures.
Others are fingerprint sensor, intelligent Face unlock and high battery capacity.
Note: The current price of the Tecno Spark 3 (KB7) is 27,850 Naira and that of the Infinix Hot 7 (X624) is 29,000 Naira.
The 2GB RAM variants of these phones feature Dual-lens (13MP+2MP) back camera and better MediaTek processor (especially the Spark 3). The current price of the 2GB variant of the Spark 3 (KB7J) is 35,500 Naira, while the 2GB variant of the Hot 7 (X624B) costs about 32,500 Naira.
Meanwhile, with almost the same price, Tecno Spark 3 (KB7) and the Infinix Hot 7 (X624) come with almost the same specs, therefore, below are the details of their similarities and their small differences (mainly in the area of battery capacities).
Both feature the same MediaTek MT6580 processor:
Though the 2GB RAM variants of both phones, especially that of the Spark 3 has a better processing power, yet, both of the Hot 7 (X624) and Spark 3 (KB7) feature the same slightly less powerful MT6580 MediaTek Quad-Core chipset, with 1.3GHz processing speed and Mali-400 GPU.
Same 6.2" FullView HD+ Display with 19:9 aspect ratio:
Both Hot 7 and Spark 3 displays are identical in every aspect, i.e. each of the phones features the same 6.2-inch screen size. And both displays also have the same 1500x720 screen resolution, which also means that each of the phones' 6.2-inch display has a pixel density of 268ppi.
Furthermore, both phones also feature the popular notch at the top of their screens, and as usual, the notch houses the single lens front camera, speaker grille and LED flash.
Infinix Hot 7 and Tecno Spark 3 also feature 19:9 screen aspect ratio. 19:9 is the trendy aspect ratio that comes with the recent mid-range and flagship phones.
Same RAM, Same Internal Storage And The Same Android 8.1 Go Edition:
Like i mentioned earlier, both Infinix Hot 7 (X624) and Tecno Spark 3 (KB7) come with 1GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage space. And their internal storage capacities can be expanded, through MicroSD Card, up to 128GB.
Meanwhile, these 1GB RAM phones are preloaded with the Go Edition of the Android O.S., which is the lighter version of the Android 8.1 Oreo or Android 9 Pie (that come with other variants). Android Go Edition ensures smooth running of these low RAM phones.
Both feature Single lens 13MP Back Camera:
Except their 2GB RAM variants, which feature an extra 2MP telephoto rear lens, the 1GB RAM version of the Infinix Hot 7 and Tecno Spark 3 come with a Single Back Camera of 13MP.
And for taking selfie pictures, each of the phones is fitted with an 8-MP front facing camera. It should be noted that the same 8-MP Selfie camera is found on all the variants of the Tecno Spark 3 and Infinix Hot 7 models.
Fingerprint Sensors are located at the Same spot:
Like their earlier models, both Infinix Hot 7 and Tecno Spark 3 feature rear-mounted Fingerprint reader, and this biometric security sensor is located at the similar spot on the back of the two phones, i.e. at the centre of their backs, close to the top, in fact, very close to the back cameras.
In addition to the fingerprint reader, both phones also feature lntelligence Face Unlock; for their security enhancements too.
Hot 7 has better battery life:
Although, both phones are fitted with the same screen sizes, RAM and processing power, Infinix Hot 7 (X624) offers more battery capacity than the Tecno Spark 3 (KB7). While the Spark 3 features 3,500mAh battery, Infinix equipped Hot 7 with a slightly stronger battery capacity of 4000mAh. Therefore, with the same normal usage, Infinix Hot 7 battery will last a little longer than that of the Tecno Spark 3.
