Infinix Hot 7 is the newly unveiled Android phone from the Infinix Mobility, it's the latest and subsequent version of the last year's widely accepted Hot 6. Interestingly, the new Hot 7 share looks and specs with the Hot 6X in many ways.

Note: Infinix Hot 6X, released in last year (Oct. Precisely), is another variant of the Hot 6. However, Hot 6X design is quite different from that of Hot 6.

Thus, from their specs to designs, the new Hot 7 and Hot 6x are very much alike, for instance, they both feature the same screen size, resolution and screen aspect ratio.

The duo also comes with the screen notch, same battery capacity and same internal storage capacity. Furthermore, the front and  back camera set-up of the two phones are also identical and the camera lenses come with the equal number of megapixels too.
In addition, the fingerprint sensors of the two phones are also located at the similar spots.

Still there are few differences between the Infinix Hot 7 and Hot 6X.

Hot 7 Has MediaTek Processor, No 4G LTE and There is 1GB Variant: Moving away from Qualcomm Snapdragon Chipset found in the Infinix Hot S3X and the Hot 6X, Infinix Mobility equipped the new  Hot 7 with slightly less powerful MediaTek Processor, remember Hot 6 also features MediaTek Processor.

It's  also reported that the new phone doesn't support 4G, unlike its predecessors. Furthermore, apart from the one that features 2GB RAM, there is another variant of the Hot 7 that has 1GB of RAM.

VERDICT: In many ways, the new Infinix Hot 7 is identical to the Hot 6X and Hot S3X.

But, because the new Infinix Hot 7 is fitted with less powerful MediaTek Processor and it doesn't support 4G LTE, it also comes with Go Edition Of Android Oreo and has the option of 1GB Variant (besides the one of 2GB RAM):

All these means the new phone is slightly less powerful than Infinix Hot 6X and Hot S3X, and this is reflected by the current price of the Infinix Hot 7 which is currently around 37,500 Naira, for 2GB RAM version, while the 1GB RAM version is about 33,500 Naira. This also implies that the buyers will enjoy beautiful and trendy design of the Hot 6X and Hot S3X in slightly cheaper but less powerful Infinix Hot 7.

Big 6.2-inch HD+ Display with Notch: the new Hot 7 features ample 6.2-inch Display with notch at the top of the screen (read more on the notch). The 6.2-inch screen also comes with 1500x720 resolution and an aspect ratio of 19:9.

As a result this, the new phone's display has a pixel density of 268ppi; which is the same number of pixel density found on the displays of its predecessors i.e. Infinix Hot S3X and Infinix Hot 6X, therefore you should expect the same clarity and sharpness from the display of the new Hot 7.

Option of Either 2GB or 1GB RAM:
The new Infinix Hot 7 comes with 2GB RAM with 32GB internal storage and there is also an option of 1GB RAM with 16GB internal storage. However, the internal storage capacity of both variants, can also be increased, via MicroSD Card, to 128GB.

MediaTek Processor with Android 8.1 Go Edition: For its processing power, the Infinix Hot 7 features MediaTek MT6580P chipset; a Cortex-A7 Quad-core processor, with clock speeds of up to 1.3GHz. And for its GPU (Graphics Processing Units), Hot 7 makes use of the Mali-400 MP2.
I assume because the new phone has 1GB RAM variant, that's why it features Go Edition of the Android 8.1 (Oreo) O.S: Remember Go Edition is specifically design for Android phones with low RAMs.

13MP Back Camera and Fingerprint Reader: Except for the Hot 7 Pro (also called Hot 7 in India) that features dual back camera, both the 1GB and 2GB RAM variant of the Hot 7 (X624) are equipped with a single rear camera. And this single rear-facing camera features a 13-megapixel, AF/1.8 Aperture lens, and the lens also supports Portrait Mode. Meanwhile, the infinix Hot 7 comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint reader, which is located at the top centre of the phone, close to the dual back cameras.

Moving on to the front of the phone, at the top of the screen is a small cut out, otherwise known as notch. And the notch houses the speaker grille, LED flash and the phone's 8MP front camera. The phone also features Face ID.
