Honor 10 GT: Huawei First 8GB RAM Smartphone With GPU Turbo
Tweet
Huawei has introduced its first 8GB of RAM smartphone named Honor 10 GT and the phone will be available before the end of the month. Honor 10 GT is the successor and enhanced version of the recently released Honor 10, the company's midrange phone. This indicates that Honor 10 GT is also a mid range phone with whooping 8GB of RAM, which can only be found among few premium phones. Apart from higher RAM and GPU Turbo, Honor 10 GT shares similar specs with Honor 10 which also means the price will only increase slightly. Below is a quick look at the spec of Honor 10 GT.
Design: The phone appears brilliant (but not dazzling) due to its all-glass design most especially at the back, and the colour appears clean too, the design somehow resembles that of Huawei P20 Pro. The rare 19:9 aspect ratio of the Honor 10 GT makes it unusually narrower, and this in turn makes it possible for the phone to be held and operated with one hand comfortably.
Kirin 970 Chipset: The phone features Huawei mobile's own processor, kirin 970 chipset, it is this same chipset that inside of the P20 Pro. With 2.4GHz Octa-Core processor, this means the phone has a top-speed processing power, added to this is the phone 8GB of RAM and soon to be updated GPU Turbo.
Display: Being a mid range phone, unlike One plus 6 or P20 Pro that has OLED screen, the Honor 10 GT has a 5.84 inch IPS-LCD display, a Full HD+ (2280*1080) resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. The display also features the small cut-out at the top of the screen which is otherwise known as notch, but Huawei provides a bar to hide it in the phone's EMUI settings.
Front camera and Fingerprint reader: For Selfies, the Honor 10 GT has an AI-enabled 24MP front facing camera. The camera is housed inside the notch, along with the flash and speaker grille. And on fingerprint reader, Huawei made use of the 2nd generation ultrasonic under-glass fingerprint scanner by Qualcomm, this should not to be mistaken for in-display fingerprint sensor that can be found in a few phones such as recently unveiled Vivo Nex. This fingerprint sensor is located below the screen, its embedded under the glass bezel of the phone. In addition to that, Honor 10 GT also comes with face unlocking.
Back camera: On the back of the phone located a 24MP and 16MP horizontally aligned dual camera for taking high quality pictures, the dual camera is also embedded with AI (Artificial Intelligence) which automatically identifies the object or scene and give the camera appropriate setting. And not far from the camera lens is the phone's LED flash.
Storage and Others: Honor 10 GT has internal storage options of either 64GB or 128GB, but it doesn't support external storage i.e. no room for expansion via MicroSD Card. At the bottom of the phone is 3.5mm headphone jack port and USB Type-C port. The phone has a 3400 mAh battery and quick charging feature called Honor SuperCharge!
